SO WHAT?

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

So what going on in you shop now that it's cold and nasty out? Jimmi hooked me up with a 79 kawi KZ750B that I have a bit of a start on. I'll get back to work on it soon again. Any one have any new/old projects?

The TS185 Suzuki I'm building for the daughter is coming along nicely, I've built a 6hp Evinrude and a 4hp Johnson so far also. Coming up- finish up loose ends on the Bonneville, dig into the 350-4 top end for assessment, new(er) cranks for two 40hp Evinrudes, and build a 5.5hp Evinrude kicker for my fishing boat. Its good to have things to do.

Mostly I'm cleaning the OSSA after getting it muddy (Tahuya single track tomorrow)

To do: get to work on the GPII OSSA- I scored on some period Marzocchi leading axle forks- off of a Phantom.
Need to start working on the frame.

Still on the English Thunder project. Heads are all welded up and machined. The 630 bronze bar for valve guides and Manley special valves came today as well as the spiral cut reamer for finishing the guides.
Seems like I spend a lot of time cutting wood and stoking the fire. No complaints.

Hi Guys
I've been playing catch-up on the crankshaft for Super-Fly II. I had 'rough' bored the flywheel halves to accept the larger diameter crankpin, then sent to have it precision honed to size by a machine shop. When I got the crank back, I found the holes were precision in diameter but no longer in alignment (slightly angled from crankshaft mains)......aahhhh shit!

I over-sized the holes, pressed in a couple sleeves and had John H. weld the sleeves to the flywheels (just for extra insurance from ever rotating/moving). I'm currently working on re-boring the sleeves back to the proper interference fit and I plan to do the final hole dimension with a reamer to a precise fit 'here' in my shop.
Got a plan and hope to pull it off this weekend.....

Got a 2003 Concours and I'm doing the carbs and a fork brace and converting the petcock to a manual petcock. I've been working with my 2 son's on 2 Yamaha IT175's. We got them both together and running and we are looking forward to riding this summer.
