Double Trouble

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

No Triumph work in the near future. Grandsons come first so the go kart build will continue for another month or so. Actually it's quite fun. Nothing is measured with a mic or calipers. Real close is good enough.

I wish my grandfather had been a bit like you!
Always wear protective gear. Usually SPF 30 will do.

I'm running out of time on the kart. I keep trying to second guess just how much use and abuse it will get after 6 days of hard labor. There aren't any smooth tracks layed out here and with near 'zero' suspension I need to add a few more gussets and support tubes.

The boys are growing fast so I'm trying to locate all the controls to fit them now and build in some adjustment for later on.

One week to go and still quite a bit to do. Trying to make the seat and foot controls adjustable as the boys grow. I still need to get out there and build a track, or two. They still like riding the Pw 50 and Pw 70 too.

The kart is finished and testing, in the rain was successful. Gramps is considered a Cool dude. After a short break I'll be back on the Double and try to get it finished up. The projects are building up so I'd better get with it.

The boys have gone home so now I will try to get some things done on the Double.
The magnetos arrived from Joe Hunt Magnetos yesterday, Ouch!! I could have made a nice down payment on a new bike for that much!! Oh well, when you play you gotta pay. Next will be pressure testing the Hilborn pump.

The Double is still on the bench making me feel guilty for neglecting. I promised myself to finish it by the end of the year. In the meantime I will be making a list of parts needed to restore the Black Shadow that has been in a pile for 20+ years. Oh, almost forgot the TY175s that need built by next Summer..what else??
