Double Trouble

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

A bit of bling will dress up the engine plates and hide a lot of blemishes. I did a bit of testing on the backside to get a pattern
going. The swirl is larger than I'd like but it's what I have so what do you think?

Looking great!
Always wear protective gear. Usually SPF 30 will do.

I’m waiting on parts. Although I could start stripping the frame...

I also have another project, fitting a 4-shoe drum brake to the front of my 73 Benelli 250 SuperSport. It is off a Benelli 250 2C (2-stroke) and when I had one of those, the brakes were superb. Front now (two shoe, single) is pretty lame.
It will look quite original and make the bike more fun to ride.

The rear head has fins removed between the exhaust pipes to give the front engine throttle bodies for free air. The crankshafts are only 13-1/2" center to center. Not an ideal situation but Nitro doesn't rely on atmosphere like methanol or gas.

Further inspection shows a crack where the manifold is welded to the head. This could have happened when the engine blew. More surprises every day.

The story on the injectors is they were made for a Offenhauser midget race car which was about 100ci. The two Triumph engines equal about 100ci also.

Next step will be disassembling the Hilborn 150 fuel pump. Hopefully it's rebuildable.

Think it has been established that John can rebuild just about anything.
I have to believe the fuel pump will look much better when finished.
