Minibike Build

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

I see a couple on the Vegas Mecum auction next month.

Perhaps looking at them could give info?

He is a member of one of the mini bike forums. The red bike is the MM5A model and the blue bike is actually a mm5b (with larger tires). It will be interesting so see what they sell for.

This was just posted to Facebook Marketplace in Port Angeles:

1970 50CC Indian many bike. Trade for nice bumper pull camper, Truck SUV. The bike runs great. Asking $2000 obo. Bike would be worth much more restored. But still pretty cool

interesting. I don't do Facebook so can't contact the seller. I'm finding out it's a real PIA finding parts for them.

We scored the little Indian.
A restoration had been started but not to a high quality so most will have to be redone.
Importantly, all the obtainable parts are all there. So, I will restore both bikes at the same time.

Found a couple more in Federal Way, WA

These are two 1960s italjet 50cc mm5a (Indian) mini bikes the also referred to as the mini mini. They are about the size of a pocket bike. The one on the left does run but has been drained of all fluids because it was sat in a storage unit. Do your research before you make me an offer...the one that was restored on American restoration sold for almost $8000 in 2016 just an fyi this made them even more collectible and valuable. $700 for the complete bike and 300 for the other

Well, at ten bucks an hour I'm already in a hole so I'll stick with the two I have.
Mecums sold two of these yesterday for over 8 grand each.
