Barn find ... ok ... back yard find

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

This has been sitting out for a while. Engine appears to be seized, the rest is a mess.

Boy o' boy Jay, that gets me in dream mode.....
Truly a blank canvas just waiting for the first brush stroke (ok 4 strokes).

Great shot BTW!

I had a 250 AJS that was given to me.
I gave it away because I knew I'd never get around to fixing it up then (around 10-12 years ago).

The guy started fixing it, but then threw away most if not all of it. Shame.

Chain might need tightening... is that an aluminum swing arm?

Found out it's a 1965 BSA B40 Enduro Star. 350cc street scrambler, predecessor to the 441 Victor. It also has a nifty AAA alloy swing arm.

Part it out or fix it? Members of Britbike forum are giving me a hard time about parting it out. Apparently the aluminum swing arm is worth more than I paid for it and the carb alone is worth more. Anyone want to go through the engine for me? She'll kick over now.

Jay, shouldn't be a big job going thru the motor if it's not damaged inside (rust). You're welcome to use my 'Brit tools'. I may even have a manual on it.
