I left PA at 9:30 Sunday morning and met 4 other riders from a motorcycle forum called
PNWRiders. A couple of the riders were from Bainbridge Island and others were from Port Orchard. We gassed up just below Hoodsport on 101 at about 11:30 and headed up to
High Steel Bridge. The original 685-foot long steel bridge built in 1929 was used for logging and was a railroad bridge. The bridge has since been converted to one-way vehicle traffic. The bridge is 420 feet above the Skokomish River.
