WINTER PROJECTS

The weather is changing, what are your winter projects? I have so many I don''t know where to start. I would really like to see some of you guys start posting again. All projects are interesting. If you are having trouble figuring out how to post photos we can help.

The Swedish Eagle is a future project. For now the plan is just to de-salt it then find a spot to display it.

John, I'll check with the wife to see if we have space in our living room for temporary storage...
Always wear protective gear. Usually SPF 30 will do.

That is a wild looking machine. What sort of powerplant?

List of projects (I would say winter, but I’m sure many will bleed over until spring/summer/fall/winter etc)

1. Benelli 65cc Dynamo compact. Engine is almost complete.
2. Benelli 175 Enduro. Runs, needs new rims and cables etc.
3. I never got the 750 sei fuel tank or side covers painted this summer. Oh well- might be next spring.
4. OSSA Super Pioneer- install longer travel forks and year newer from wheel with (hopefully) better brake.
5. Benelli 250 SuperSport. Install 4-shoe drum front brake and forks that go with it. Was last winter too. Ha
6. Electric Motion ‘subframe’ support jig. I made one, but planning on jig to make more and better.
7. Benelli 750 sei- install NOS carb setup.
8. Whatever else comes up.

I have about 3 years worth of stuff already- and I’m sure more will come along. (I forgot to mention OSSA GPII, Benelli Dynamo Woods bike- first bike I ever rode).

The streamliner was build around the Jawa speedway engine. The transmission is from a KZ1000.

Before storage, the engine and gearbox need pickled. This means completely flush all fuels and oils with plain gas and thin oil. Nitro fuel is very acidic and castor oil will turn into glue.
Here's one of the oil pumps. Oil is metered separately to the top end and lower end with the adjusters. The windows in the top let you see how much is being pumped.

. This is the first winter project, a two car garage and adjacent motorcycle shop with an upstairs office loft in attic trusses.

This is the second project, to be completed in the former; 1966 BSA Spitfire. Followed by the resurrection of a 1970 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750, and a rebuild of a Burman gearbox from the Vincent.

That's quite an undertaking Vince. Nothing like a well organized work space, and a study.
Your other projects are interesting too. We will have to share info when you get into the Spitfire, as I have a 67 Hornet project in about the same condition.
Missed you at the WVM meet last weekend.
