I've known Marty for almost as many years as I have ridden motorcycles, at least since my first Vincent I bought in 1967.
His comment then was "Why would you want one of those things". I didn't know then he had already set land speed records clear back in the 50s. Over the years he passed on tidbits of information that have helped through difficulties that come along with building / restoring old bikes.
He will be missed.
