On January 25, 2018, the Holy Grail of motorcycles came up for sale at a Bonhams auction in Las Vegas. This is the story of that exceptionally rare 1951 Vincent Black Lightning—and of the mad-genius motorcycle maker who inspired a generation of speed freaks, adrenaline junkies, and record breakers around the world.

Actually it's a story of two rich guys that refused to be out bid for a bike that didn't even do 150 mph. The new owner is the biggest seafood supplier in Australia. The seller owned it for about two years and paid less than half the new selling price.
