Vintage Motorcycle Eccentrics

Rebuilt Honda 90 engine awaiting a few more parts prior to install in a 1972 CT90 trail bike.

It was looking good the other day that I came by and saw it... It will be fun to ride when its done

Not a winter project but will come in handy for my winter projects.
My 1940 lathe couldn't hold a tolerance and didn't make sense to restore it so i found a replacement.
It is in good condition but looked like crap, so I thought a bit of paint would help. Well I got carried away
and completely rebuilt it from the floor up. Now I just need to learn how to operate it so I can get back on
my Vinnie project.

Was pretty sitting on the blocking while you were working on the base.
The whole assembly looks great John. I'm jealous.

That is very nice John. Can you cut keys with that thing? I need a spare key cut for the BMW.

Not a key cutter unless it's round. There is a key cutter around here somewhere though. I was going to make cam grinder out of it but but but....

What kind of key do you need to cut Jay?
Most keys are cheaper to purchase than make, unless it has a step in it or something else fancy.

Or, are we talking about a keyway?

I was just kidding about the key... My BMW key is laser cut.

Got my head in the completely wrong gear, was thinking shaft drive keys and keyways.

Well, the new?? lathe is in place and the old one is finally gone. Replaced by a Pursang and a couple of Matador parts bikes.
Came with a new seat, side panels, fenders and decals. Can't ride yet but look forward to taking it out next year.
