Summer is almost gone

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

Thats cool... I have picked up a 78 cafe Honda... Its almost done and I'm putting the finishing touch's on it... My son Josh is going to start working on the Moto Guzzi Convert and get back on the street and Robby is getting a Moto Guzzi Quota... It should be a great start to the winter for projects...

I am getting back to work on my Café Racer project bike. 1992 XV920RJ, the chain drive Virago.
Highlights of the build so far:
-Big cam
-Dual carb/velocity stacks
-2 into 1 exhaust with 2" collector and megaphone
-Ducati rear shock
-reinforced swing arm
-XS1100 front brakes, forks and brace
-RD400 2.3 gal race tank
-Spoke wheels with aluminum dust catcher rims
-Aluminum Rear sub-frame, built from a YZ465 swing arm.
-Fiberglass tail section made off the RD gas tank
-Frame; all holes filled, capped and bungs removed
Next step:
-Order the rear set controls and hand control clip-ons, so I can get my seat position correct.
Keep on keep'n on!

Hope to get one more ride on the XR-750 before it gets put away. Then either the Bonneville or the Weslake Triumph will get put on the project list. The lathe project is almost finished, just need to bondo and paint the base. When it's finished, the old South Bend will go on Craigslist to make room for it. TRUTH has gone to it's new home and Swedish Thunder will take it's place. It's now officially retired after several years running on the Salt Flats and two records. My Swedish friends replace it with a streamliner. That's a story for another time.
Pensioner in Swedish means retired.
