George is in line for his second run at the Bonneville Salt Flats early Tuesday morning. Yesterday he hit 116 mph.

I got a message from AAA Racing:
"Our Good Friend George McMurray racing today and made a pass at 123mph - so he is at impound and will hopefully get that record tomorrow morning with a backup run!
Good Luck George, Alan, Dan and Team!"

I'm hearing reports from AAA racing that George set a 120 mph return record early Wednesday morning.

Way to go George, I tried to follow the early morning impound runs on live feed via the internet but didn't hear George's run.
The other day when he ran 123, he had problems with two broken bolts that hold the cylinder on.
This is the old record:
125CC APS/BF HONDA R. COATMAN 8/1980 100.897 MPH
-
BF
R. Coatman
Honda
8 /80
100.807

Last I heard he was in impound after his return run. Will he have time to attempt the nitro run and what is the record?

George backed up his run this morning and now has the record at 121.9mph. That's 21mph over the old record.
They are now going to 'tip the can' with a big dose of nitro. Hope it holds together, should be a blast to ride.

Latest from George: They closed the course due to vehicle fire and we were unable to run with the nitro fuel. Will run tomorrow. Tonight we celebrate our team record!
Thanks for the well-wishes and support, we really appreciate it.

From Afflick - Afflick & Afflick - AAA Land Speed Racing Team on Facebook.
Two great blokes, two great bikes, both very different. I am stoked to hear that Alp Sungurtekin & George McMurray both set records at Bonneville Speed Week.
Alp on his fuel burning Triumphs and George on his blown two stroke.
Might need to paint our bike silver next year to get a photo with these cool dudes.
