Super-Fly LSR attempt

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

Always wear protective gear. Usually SPF 30 will do.

Yes Blake,
You're correct, I should at least have worn a jacket (leather best). I guess I'd better be on the lookout for one!

I returned home after the airport run and looked over the bike. It seemed a tad lean on deceleration with throttle closed at the runway ends. Turns out the slide in the carb was being held slightly open while the fuel was basically closed-off, hence lean condition. Fixed that last night and also added a second fuel pulse pump (in parallel) to help fuel this thirsty bugger especially if I reconfigure to 20% Nitro-methane which requires an additional 20-25% fuel.
Tonight, I will try and verify the ignition timing using John's special timing light (rated at 14,000 rpm's). This scooter will then be ready for the second salt attempt which starts the end of the month.

Hey Guys,
Looks like the SCTA has cancelled all the remaining salt races for 2014! The rain has returned and the dry lake is no longer dry.....bummer!
This will give me and a bunch of fellow racers the chance to hone-in our bikes and cars for next years meet.

A few more pix of the Sequim airport test run. Photos by Michael Dashiell. I was attempting to save what hearing I have left in the one good ear in the bottom photo.

Hey George I have a 2 piece set of leathers that are almost brand new that I might be able to work a deal on with you.
