6D Helmet

I just picked up one of those new fancy 6D Helmets at our local friendly dealer (PA Power).

I haven't gone for a ride yet, but it feels great trying it on and with the goggles.
Certainly not cheap, but the whole idea is better protection from smaller scale hits- plus good rotational protection. Of course still excellent 'hard hit' protection.
Hitting a tree limb or something at 15mph could cause serious issues with a standard helmet. Reports are that this one is MUCH better for that sort of thing.
A buddy just got hurt pretty badly on a road race track and it really has gotten me to thinking about having maximum protection. Large and smaller impacts.

Go check them out!

It feels great riding. Seems to cool a bit better than the Moto 9 ( which I liked a lot).
Could be a bit snigger, so that half size will be good. I think I'll get thicker cheek pads also.
Eye port is a little bigger, so goggles fit better. Plus they have a special place for the strap- works well.

Check them out!

I did a three day ride over near Entiat (Devils backbone! Tyee peak etc).
The 6D worked out great- all the other guys were checking it out.
Fortunately, I didn't need to test it the hard way.

I get interest in the helmet almost every ride.
Several people said they wanted to buy for next helmet- I suggested giving out local dealer a visit.

I (unfortunately) gave the helmet a test today. No crash, but I hit a low log HARD host I didn't even see when doing a 40 mile single track ride at Tahuya,
In the past, that would have resulted in a headache (I get them pretty easily) but absolutely no problems at all.

I'm impressed- it certainly did its job!

Go check them out (I understand more sizes now). What is your safety worth?

Yeah, worth every cent.

Also, the thicker cheek pads are just right.
I like them to fit really snug and now it is just right.

Helmet still works great. Not the lightest helmet, but very comfy and not heavy at all.
I did another lighter 'test' the other day (another low limb I didnt see)- no headache or issues.

Very highly recommended!
