Hey Northwest Club Riders,I moved one month ago to Tucson to be near my Daughter and Son in Law.I brought the R1100GS in the moving truck.I've put 1000 miles on the bike already. The weather has averaged 80 degrees every day since we arrived.I found a small repair/sales shop that would do great as a club "Southwest".I spent Saturday riding up "Redington Pass",30 miles on dirt roads and single track trails.Atv's are street legal here!! Jeep clubs spend there days getting great photos of their rigs sitting in a row next to Saguaro Cactus.I had only one low speed drop after tapping a football size rock with my front wheel. That Beemer is F*#king heavy in 85 degree heat,I think I'll pick up a CR125R,you can ride that on/off road too!The ride to Mount Lemon is 35 miles of nice sport bike road. The temp there is 30 degrees cooler, and there's a resturant at the 8000 ft mark that serves Homemade Potato Chips, covered with Smoked Pulled Pork and Bar-beque sauce for $8.95,and Fat Tire Ale on Draft too! There's no helmet law"stupid riders without a clue",and the stupid sportbike kids split lanes, any side!!!There's a biker killed every week in the area, but look at the way they ride?I was concered when I first got here because I ride everyday, but you can die anywhere riding,to much bike,to little gear,to little experience, with way to much power.I'll keep you posted,Tucson Jim

Glad to hear that you are adjusting to the riding weather....that we don't have as much here. Some day we will have to go down there....
