Vintage Motorcycle Eccentrics

Ok, nothing bike related, except this was a bunch of guys from DesmoNorthwest getting together for a GoKart race.
No, not fancy shifter karts, and not even that fast- but still loads of fun.

It was raining and these all have slicks. So the only way to get it to turn was to drift every corner.
Three sessions- practice, qualifying and the 'GP' race.

I was having a blast and up into second- right on the guy in front waiting for a mistake.
Then we ran into lapped traffic. A guy spun out in front of me, then gassed it. Of course, I kept on the gas so I could actually turn- and hit him hard.
Dang that hurt!
Two of my buddies took the opportunity to pass me, and I couldn't do hard left hand corners after that. The darn ribs hurt too much. Of course I didn't stop either...

This is at SIR (Pacific Raceways?). Next to the Motocross track.

They had Supermoto there also, but some zoning issues stopped it- I hear they think it will be going in a few months again.
That track would be a blast on a Supermoto!

Yeah, I knew I could pass him soon- guess I took too long!

That was Bong that flew past me at the end of the straight twice- once to spin and go off the track.
pretty funny!
It was tricky to keep from spinning.
