You're correct, I should at least have worn a jacket (leather best). I guess I'd better be on the lookout for one!
I returned home after the airport run and looked over the bike. It seemed a tad lean on deceleration with throttle closed at the runway ends. Turns out the slide in the carb was being held slightly open while the fuel was basically closed-off, hence lean condition. Fixed that last night and also added a second fuel pulse pump (in parallel) to help fuel this thirsty bugger especially if I reconfigure to 20% Nitro-methane which requires an additional 20-25% fuel.
Tonight, I will try and verify the ignition timing using John's special timing light (rated at 14,000 rpm's). This scooter will then be ready for the second salt attempt which starts the end of the month.
