Well

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

Well

It seems that I have a new job in Forks... SO... Not sure if I will make to all the meetings. I have been watching this site to see if its been used and notice that the last post was sept 23... Not sure how much more can be done to make this a better place to come and check it and write something in it. Don't want to see it die.. but it seems that with no attendance there is not much of a group. I still talk with people about the group but don't get much attendance from said people. I'm not sure what I can do... I guess like all good things... it takes work from all people involved... So.. If there's still a interest in getting together and doing meetings , thats great.. I will do my best to make them , all tho thats up to my new boss and if he will let me leave early... I have gotten to meet a lot of very cool people that I respect very much and am happy to have gotten to meet them. Without a core group of people like the 5 to 7 people that show up on the 3rd thursday of each month at 630 at the cornerhouse rest. every month it would have died already.... So... Ideas, thoughts and directions for others... Feel free to step up and help it move on..... Thanks Jim

Jim,
Good things come and go. I started a forum for vintage race bikes one time, and as long as I stayed involved,
it was pretty active. But when I got too busy to spend time with it, it died so we went back to emails and telephones.
All forums need an active moderator / motivator / organizer. 23 of the 63 members registered here have never introduced themselves or participated, anybody know why?
I enjoy garage meets, bench racing and show & tells. My main interest is vintage as well as high performance bikes.
Life gets in the way for some while for others, their interests change.
If guys don't mind wet weather, I'll have another garage meet. Anybody interested?
Keep the faith Jim.

I'm interested in a garage meet.
Always wear protective gear. Usually SPF 30 will do.

I'm always interested... I just wanted to let others know where I was right now and hopefully people would keep it alive until I know what I can and can't do with my new job.... Thanks to all who keep it alive.. :D

Hey everyone... I won't be at the meeting this month as I have a conflict, Office Christmas Party, but do hope attend some meetings and events in 2015. I've enjoyed the social aspect of the club and would hate to see it end. Jim and the others who have carried the group, thanks for being leaders and pulling us together. The nature of these types of people is to be "non-conforming" in life so it seems right, that they'd be a hard group to lead. My personal situation is that PA meetings are a 40+ minute drive one way from my house... so my attendance was better when it was in Sequim. Cheers and long live the Virago 920! Garage meeting sounds fun!

Being 'got' geographically out of touch is all the more reason for the forum. I would bet every member here has something to post that would be interesting. Give it a try.
What's on your christmas list? What are you giving to someone else?

I was given a Harbor Freight bike lift... I need to install a new lift hydraulic or fab up one up. Feels like a Christmas gift to myself.
