Re: Benelli 750 sei

I took the 750 sei out for the first ride! Sure great to ride it- since it did not run when I got it. Every nut/bolt/clip/part I took off, replaced or cleaned up and put all back together. I have the spare fuel tank /side covers on (have not painted the original ones yet) and a couple other little t...

Re: Benelli 750 sei

I finished fitting air filter housing and air filter- plus new battery. Put on the spare side covers and finished up the crankcase breather/separator setup - just need one 1/2” hose. I have the spare tank ready to fit the petcocks in and will use until I paint the tank/side panels. I will get it whe...

Re: Benelli 750 sei

I took it off the lift so I could run it more (without asphyxiating myself)

Re: Benelli 750 sei

First start!
Fired right up and sounds great.

I’m busy a few days, but will attack major fitment issues with Busso pipes after that. I just had to hear it run.

Sasche ignition went right on with no issues and works very well.

Re: Benelli 750 sei

Made up some clear labels for the new style fusebox.
I added two relays
1- coil ‘IN’ wire triggering relay to supply full battery voltage to new alternator
2- Coil power triggered by same ‘IN’ coil wire. Assuring full power to coils (will power new ignition from this too.

Re: Benelli 750 sei

Cleaned up and painted the seat pan and foam, installed new seat cover- I still can tighten more, not glued at this point. In fact it was not glued from the factory, rather little triangle pieces that were pushed up from the seat base to anchor. That tank is a spare- too rusty inside to use without ...

Re: Double Trouble

Always lots of projects to finish!
I’m trying hard to not start another until the sei is done (or at least mostly done).

I am speculating that you would like to be able to start it up and run, but not race?
