Re: Winter project

While waiting on parts for other projects I thought it would be a good time to complete the mini chopper I started 45+ years ago. Re: 62 Triumph Bonneville

Progress has been slow lately but the Bonnie is a roller now. I'm still trouble shooting a wiring problem
(6 volt/positive ground). This was the last year for the 6v alternator/magneto setup. I'm waiting for a new rectifier and battery, then more testing.

Re: Direction of the group and activity's for the next year

Now I could get into vintage dirt bike riding. Might embarrass myself as it's been about 12 years since I've been riding.
It's been longer than that since the Alpina was fired up. Where does time go.

Re: 62 Triumph Bonneville

The sheet metal is all mounted and without a scratch. I'm getting excited now to see the wheels on. Still a bit of wiring and making cables. Shouldn't be long now, I hope.

Re: Direction of the group and activity's for the next year

It's clear to me that viewers like 'show and tell' posts. I challenge others to do the same.
I have notices as many as 30 guest viewers at one time on the Olymoto site. Who are these guests? Locals I would hope.
How about another garage crawl?

Re: 62 Triumph Bonneville

Jim showed up but no crumpets. Probably off my diet anyway.
The boys delivered the tank and fenders today. Sure looks nice. Can't wait to get them installed then back on wheels.

Re: 62 Triumph Bonneville

Well, I haven't received the toaster yet but Crumpets and Trumpets sounds like a good name for a Saturday morning shop gathering. What do you think. Bill Stevens, president of WVM (Washington Vintage Motorcycles) had cordially offered to deliver the Bonnie tank and fenders this Sunday. What a guy. I...

Re: 62 Triumph Bonneville

Thanks guys for your offers. And thanks to all who have viewed (5400 views) the build. I'll be back in the shop a few hours today and pick up where I left off. Lots to do before I kick the bucket, or toaster?
