Re: Gifford

That ride is definitely not for amatures. Scenery is great.

Vintage motorcycle racing

Just in, the Goodwood vintage motorcycle races. Rain didn't stop these guys. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_rbUAg2LKY Also, Valerie Thompson got her wide open license and with only a few runs she broke the 300mph mark. I'm sure she will be going for the all out two wheel record. https://www...

How to build a fast bike

Anders Johansson is the modern Bert Monroe. His bike is built from scratch, yes that includes the motor as well. I have been following this build for a couple of years and am amazed what Anders has done with very little. He has done time trials on ice as well as pavement. His latest speeds are pheno...

Re: Speedweek

George backed up his run this morning and now has the record at 121.9mph. That's 21mph over the old record.
They are now going to 'tip the can' with a big dose of nitro. Hope it holds together, should be a blast to ride.

Re: Speedweek

Way to go George, I tried to follow the early morning impound runs on live feed via the internet but didn't hear George's run. The other day when he ran 123, he had problems with two broken bolts that hold the cylinder on. This is the old record: 125CC APS/BF HONDA R. COATMAN 8/1980 100.897 MPH - BF...

Re: Land Speed Racer RIP

Valerie Thompson has purchased the Bub #7 streamliner and will be testing / training to be the first 400mph motorcycle streamliner. Hope it all goes well, we don't want to lose another rider. https://www.facebook.com/ValerieFanPage/photos/a.110937295606254.9149.110469292319721/1245430585490247/?type...

Land Speed Racer RIP

We lost a true icon motorcycle racer this week, doing what he loved most, seeing how fast he could go. Sam Wheeler possibly would have been the first motorcycle streamliner over 400mph. He had already been over 350 and the new machine was designed to go over the 400 mark. When the unknown boundries ...

Re: The fact there are no posts on here

That does cross my mind occasionally. My balance isn't quite what it use to be so foot clutch an hand shift may take some practice before I would be comfortable out on the streets again.
