Re: Batteries

I tried a Shorai in my KTM 300 dirt bike. It was nice and light (I got the biggest that would fit where the original AGM fit)- but didn’t work for a darn in cold weather. Of course the pre-17 KTM 2-stroke starters were notorious crummy. I didn’t think it was worth it. I ran the original AGM in my Du...

Re: Winter project

Ducati is all done. But I’ve been too busy dirt riding and getting the kitchen remodeled and other stuff to actually go ride it! Sunday was fairly Smokey out in the dirt- but not TOO bad. I don’t think I would even go today. Smoke is awful, I’ve never seen it this bad before here. No likey. Mark

Re: 62 Triumph Bonneville

I really like that valve guide installation tool you made. What a great idea.

Re: Winter project

Since it is summer- no longer a winter project. AND it I had no plan to make it a project anyway. I went to pull out the Ducati, replace the belts and Change the oil. I have not ridden it much in some time. Moving the bike, I noticed some oil on the front tyre. Hmmmm. Then I look where it was parked...

Re: HOW IS YOUR PROJECT DOING

When I had it, the bike was complete. I knew I’d never get around to bringing it back to life and gave it away.

Re: HOW IS YOUR PROJECT DOING

I sourced an engine for my OSSA GPII- (I bought this bike new, sold it and along the way the engine was lost and a Kawasaki huge engine installed).
I am slowly working on the frame to fix the damage with the engine swap and someday it will be back to stock.

No idea how long.

1972 Honda CL100 ‘Scrambler’

Like I needed another bike.. I picked up a nice quite original CL100. The plan is to use it for trips in the Interstate, using it to putt around, going to town etc. I have a rear hitch rack with ‘RakAttak’ swing attachment so the rear doors can still be opened. The bike wouldn’t start, but I fooled ...

Re: Winter project

Back when I was a Benelli dealer, I could have gotten new MV Augustas (750 America) in the crate for a great price (still a LOT of $$$). I wish I had.

The Pursang should be fine.

Finally rode Some of Gifford.
Fun stuff, although I don't like the exposure so much anymore.
