Re: Benelli 750 sei

Starting to layout parts to assymble.
Cleaning engine mounts and will install engine soon. I think I’ll try lowering frame over engine on its side. Then pick it up with my cherry picker.
But I may change my mind.

Re: Benelli 750 sei

I took it out with cherry picker.
But I think I’ll put the engine on the side and drop the frame over the engine. Shouldn’t be bad.

Re: Benelli 750 sei

Final coat (for top/sides).
Tyre is in the sun warming up- so I can mount it on the rear wheel.

I’ll put frame over engine after it has cured a few days.

Re: Benelli 750 sei

Engine almost all done. I somehow forgot to clean up the rest of the valve cover bolts- so need to do that, torque it all down and adjust valves. Then pop in the new studs.

I have two coats of new paint on the frame, a couple more and I can fit engine.

Re: A pack of TY175's!

Yes, get ahold of me. Looks like you did it last time, but if you can do the Lake Quinault ‘loop’ (North Shore, North Fork, Big Bridge, Graves ck and South Shore) try to do it early in the morning. I worked there 5 years and would see elk all the time. Graves Creek wouldn’t be a bad place to stay

Re: A pack of TY175's!

I have a HTP Invertatig 221- so with a couple passes probably could have done it fine too. that Miller is a very nice machine. I’m always pretty cautious when welding something I have no idea what it is made from. Helps if there are some ‘scaps’ to test and setup up. But I’m by no means any expert w...

Looks nice!
Out of curiosity, do you have a high Amperage machine, or multi passes after heating or…?

Re: A pack of TY175's!

Swingarm looks fabulous.
Interesting on lightening flywheel- I really like the heavy flywheel on my vintage OSSA. I wish my XTrainer had a heavier one, but I’ll have to make one myself since nobody makes one.

Is that a common complaint with those?
(Very nice work on turning it down)

Re: A pack of TY175's!

Looks good.
Many guys like the bar ends a little forward of centre for Trials- so your ‘180º’ setup would be easy to get right with proper bars.

Too thick of aluminum for my setup- but I’m sure Dan at Allform can fix those right up at a reasonable price.
