Re: Benelli 750 sei

I got busy with a customer bike and my Electric Motion mods. yes, you offered seat cutter- I have one, if it does not work I will certainly take you up on it. I’m waiting on some parts I ordered, so I think I will start putting the bottom end together. I’ll start with pistons in the cylinder, then o...

Re: Double Trouble

I certainly appreciate all these posts. Including mentioning when you do it out of order, or find unforeseen issues.
Great stuff.

Re: Benelli 750 sei

I’ve been working on cleaning up the head/valves etc. Coming along well.
I think I’ll get the head all together before doing the bottom end.

Also doing a few additions on the Electric-Motion Escape R (electric trials bike) and starting to work on a customer KLX250.

Re: Benelli 750 sei

Yes, valve stems are quite small. I just saw an adapter for many grinders that will work with small valves. But first I’ll see if I really need to grind them. They look in really good condition. I have not done anything lately on it- other bikes came in to work on and I did some maintenance/mods on ...

Re: Benelli 750 sei

I measured it, and of course forgot what it was before I wrote back...
So I did again.

5.45mm diamter. Pretty small. (Each cylinder is 125cc)

Good Luck.

I have a seat grinder, but if valves turn out to need grinding, I would most certainly appreciate it.

Re: Benelli 750 sei

The head is all apart and I’m cleaning carbon. After cleaning well, valves look quite good, guides have very little play. I’ll check, but I think I can just lap the valves. Still loads more cleaning to do. (It is pretty messy) I think I’ll try to get the head done before I start with the bottom end....
