Re: Shadow Build

The Vincent motor had a weakness where the gearbox cam plate spindle is located causing them to break for different reasons. The fix which I have done to four other motors beefs up the casting giving the spindle more support. cam plate spindle.jpg Cam plate spindle1.jpg This will require clamping th...

Re: Benelli 250 2C

Maybe we can straighten the bent part here on the press. Have you seen the new Benelli V-4 prototype?

Re: Shadow Build

I stand corrected, It's probably a 19" Matador front wheel not a pursang. The 370 Pursang forks are different as well. And the tank and the seat and the shocks!! May be too expensive to restore to original.

Re: Shadow Build

My first bike was a Rickman Bultaco Metisse. Then a new Pursang in 72 as well as a 360 El Bandido. Since then I've always had a Bultaco. A few years ago I traded my old lathe for a Mk10/192 250cc Pursang. The Mk10/193 is very similar except it's a 370cc. Both cool bikes and will get restored at the ...

Re: Shadow Build

Had a good time at the WVM bike show in Lynden this past weekend. Lots of cool bikes and goodies. I think around 100 or more entries. Larry and I took seven bikes over. I hadn't planned on buying anything but came home with another Pursang. Another project :?

Re: Benelli 250 2C

Oops, I meant Italian.
I find that if I 'zero' the chuck on the rotary head with a pointer then I can move the 'x' or 'y' axis to the cutting position. I've only done simple machining with the rotary, never any odd number cuts like in some splines.
