Re: Minibike Build

All stripped down now and boy what a mess. It looks like a big kid used it up. Several crappy weld repairs, some pieces added and some missing. 20191204_170611.jpg The pipe brace is not original though probably a good idea. It will be removed and repaired correctly. 20191204_170825.jpg The steering ...

Minibike Build

Last Vin project is finished so while building inventory for the next Vin project I'm going to restore a Lil Indian like the one my son had when he was 5. Gees! that was 48 years ago. Found this one while picking up a car lift for the shop so thought it would be fun and easy compared to some project...

Re: Chrome service?

Ron used Victoria Plating for his Goldstar and the quality is excellent. I got quotes from Queen City Plating and Mastercraft
for a kickstart lever and a gearshift lever. Both had a $50.00 minimum which covered the plating cost.

Re: WHAT'S YOUR WINTER PROJECT

Looks like there will be an additional restoration in the middle of the other builds.
It's a Lil Indian Bambino Mini Mini.
I picked this one up because it's like the one my son started on when he was 5.
Lets see,,, that would be 46 years ago.

Re: WHAT'S YOUR WINTER PROJECT

That little 750 was a sweet bike. My only experience with the 6 cyl bikes was a CBX. Did the bottom up engine with Carrillo rods and all, then turbo charged it. Two weeks after finishing it, it caught fire and was totaled.

WHAT'S YOUR WINTER PROJECT

Summer's gone and everything is winterized so what is your winter project? Let's hear about them. I'm wrapping up a 'preservation' on a rare bike so need to decide what to start on next. I need to choose the Z1R or the Shadow. Both will be enjoyable. The Z1R just needs the engine freshened up, new t...

Re: Seat upholstery?

Two different places show up on google maps but are the same place- Scotts Auto Trim. Rick is the brother that use to do upholstery but retired. Anyway Scott built a seat to my design with a material that matched the old seat just right. He did an excellent job and did it in a week. IMG_1181 copy.jpg
