Z1R BUILD

After 33 years it's time to give my 78 Z1R a new life. It's not going to be a 10 restoration but will be nicely done up when it's finished. Not much to explain but will try to make it interesting for those who enjoyed the Kawasaki 4's. My first of several was a 72. Probably the last will be this Z1R...

I was thinking you might make a classic racer with your second Supersport. 9th Elan does sound like fun though. Is this going to be a restoration project?

I used this program when degreeing the cams in the Triumph twin engine drag bike. Without a spec sheet for the cams which were stamped 'nitro' I was able to produce a degree wheel from the program.

Looks like a nice bike. John Ulver rebuilt several Vincents and also had a Bonneville Salt Flats bike that run in the 150 mph range. His wife also rode a Vincent.

The 2 TYs are running great and hopefully will be running great when the grandsons visit next time. I have been ignoring this RL250 that came with the blue ty purchase. I was surprised with some fresh gas it started right up and sounds pretty good. Reading some reviews online it seems they were not ...

With everything else going on, I did finally get some work done on the upper frame member. After 70 years of sludge buildup in the oil tank and no real good way of cleaning it out I decided to install a cleanout. I had tried the old nuts, bolts and gas to scour it clean but was still not satisfied. ...
