Re: Linkgage- design and send out for CNC

The Autozam Scrum (Japanese mini-truck) I’m rebuilding had a broken alternator mount. Only one place I found had replacements (used) and I won’t deal with that company again. Perhaps others had them, but I found I could have one much stouter made for less. I desinged one, 3D printed to make sure I h...

Re: Aermacchi 175

I had the forks all cleaned up and ready to reassemble. Then I found the Betor seals I had were different for these than the ‘normal’ Betors I have had on lots of bikes. Aermacchi must have specified a slightly different (and sort of odd) size over the regular ones. I cannot really see a reason why,...

Re: Z1R BUILD

Glad you found the loose connector. Especially older bikes connectors are usually first thing I inspect. But with all of those…

Curious if you bored the master with mill or lathe. Seems could be easier to hold in the mill?

Linkgage- design and send out for CNC

I have a couple modern OSSA Explorers- these are trials bikes with a seat and additional fuel. Same as the trials versions, with all the same features/drawbacks (depending on use of course). I bought one of these new in 2014, ride the heck out of it. I managed to break the rear suspension linkage tw...

Re: TRIUMPH DESERT SLED RESTO

The Triumph really shows what used to be common, everywhere you look more signs of someone out having fun. (And maybe a few crashes, which are never fun).

Re: TRIUMPH DESERT SLED RESTO

So you heated the dent from the outside, then pushed an appropriate sized rod through to push out the dent? I am just putting the Betor forks I sourced for the old Aermacchi back together. The Marzocchi ones just have too much pitting. These have a bit, but not very much and I put on my lathe and li...

Re: Aermacchi 175

I ran the Aermacchi for awhile today with 50:1, while holding the Oil Injection pump arm on full. That way I could watch the hose to the intake fill up.
It runs well, but I will need to check regulator- voltage seemed a bit high.

Now on to the forks.

Re: Aermacchi 175

The front wheel must match the rear. Oh no, here we go...again. Ha. We're addicted. I'm tempted to put the quick change alloy wheel you vapor honed for me on the TR6. But that would mean I would have to do one for the front. Not going to happen.. Yes- I agree! It is a problem. But is certainly is f...
